Michael Mili

Michael Mili is an actor, artist, writer, screenwriter and photographer born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He made his debut as a lead actor in the feature film "The Death of Michael Smith," which earned the Excellence in Filmmaking award at the Slamdance Film Festival. Michael has also appeared in numerous other films, including "Amanda & The Fox," "Killerman," "Cash Only," and "Setup." He received his first producer credit for the film "Guns Drugs & Dirty Money."

In addition to acting, Michael is an accomplished screenwriter. He has written several screenplays, including "Five Years in the Pit," "The Mamaluke," and "Uncle Fino." He has also co-written several animated features, including "The Blowffeld Bears" and "Eddy the Unending Life," and several episodes for "The New Three Stooges." Together with Rich Goteri, Michael has developed a method of applied writing principles called "Words to Film By," which they share with aspiring screenwriters through their book, workshop, and seminar of the same name.

Michael's education is a result of his unique life experiences, including studying comedy from stand-up comedians, acting from Richard Goteri, and comedic timing and voice characterizations from Angelo and Vassili Metas. He also attended Henry Ford College and Detroit College of Business, where he studied Graphic Arts and Marketing.

Michael's accomplishments also include writing and illustrating a cartoon called "Tasso," "Words To Film By," a how to book on screenwriting, and a coming-of-age novel called, “Cigarette Money” based on his experiences growing up in his uncle’s Detroit Greektown restaurant with colorful character including the Detroit Mob.
